Tanzania awaits Turkish businessmen
During his first official visit to Turkey, Tanzanian President Kikwete stated; “Every moment of this trip was productive. Both my economic and diplomatic expectations were met. We are awaiting Turkish businessmen in our country.”
Tanzanian President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete recently paid his first official visit to Turkey as a guest of President Abdullah Gül and in an interview with SABAH, stated that all of his expectations had been met and that both diplomatic and economic cooperation had been established between the two nations.
Kikwete met with both President Gül and Prime Minister Erdoğan during his trip to Turkey from February 18th to the 21st. In an interview with SABAH, Kikwete stated that they discussed both international and regional issues, and expressed; “I can say that all of my expectations have been met diplomatically and economically.”
Kikwete was joined by 55 Tanzanian businessmen on his trip and explained that in Istanbul they met with 600 Turkish businessmen and stated; “We are calling on Turkish businessmen to make investments in Tanzania, There are a number of areas to invest in spanning from mining, agriculture and energy infrastructure. Our Minister of Foreign Affairs will now begin efforts to develop cooperation.”
