“Turkey is an appropriate model for the region”

Speaker of Turkey’s Grand National Assembly Mehmet Ali Şahin met with Bahrain Crown Prince Al Khalifa and Council Assembly Chairman Ali Bin Saleh Al Saleh during a trip to Bahrain.

During the meeting, Al Khalifa stated; “The policy you follow regarding competition, supreme justice and the free market is very attention-drawing. The most appropriate model for the region is Turkey. Our generation especially expects Turkey to play an attractive and leading role. Our hopes are on you. You must succeed.” 

Mehmet Şahin told Al Saleh, "We are trying to find a solution together to the problems experienced in the Islamic geography. We will especially continue our cooperation to establish a peaceful solution to the Palestinian issue.” Al Saleh commended Turkey’s foreign policy and stated; “We praise Turkey for its constructive stance in the international platform. Turkey’s has a leading international policy. Turkey displays an exemplary stance in the region. It would be beneficial for Turkey to have an increased presence in the region. The Palestinian issue would be at the forefront.”
