Galatasaray: 1 – Eskişehirspor: 2

Galatasaray was unable to protect their five-point lead in the league last night, losing 2-1 against hosts Eskişehirspor.

Galatasaray’s defense is having a hard time gaining speed due to the hitches experienced in the middle field. Having had goals scored against them in eight out of the past nine games, it appears Mehmet Topal has become the scapegoat due to some recent error plays. 

As Galatasaray appears to have established a strong defense with the recent transfer of Lucas Neill, when the mid-field fails to pull up the rear, the goals continue to come. Last night, Galatasaray’s defense was unable to stop two goals and continued to provide a lot of open positions for Eskişehirspor.
