Latest update on injuries
Fenerbahçe had six players out on injury prior to the Antalyaspor game tomorrow, however it appears now Deivid, Diego and Lugano have recovered, while Gökhan Gönül and Cristian's condition remain doubtful.
Wanting to put an end to the seven-game streak without a single win, Fenerbahçe is trying to get their injured players back on the field, with the exception of Uğur and Ali, whom have already closed out the season. The latest update on the team’s injuries is as follows:
DEIVID: He played for 45 minutes in the Büyükşehir game. Daum met with the player to obtain information on his physical state. The Brazilian player expressed that he felt ready, and so it is anticipated that he will be in the starting line-up for tomorrow’s game against Antalyaspor in either the right wing or forward position.
LUGANO: He sat out the İstanbul BŞB game in order to not take any risks and to rest, however he has expressed a desire to play against Antalyaspor. He may be in the starting line-up according to the doctor’s approval.
GÖKHAN GÖNÜL: He suffered a problem on his right ankle during a National Team training session. The player states the swelling is down and he feels good. His final status will be determined today.
CRISTIAN: A tendon problem which has been ongoing for three months has once again resurfaced. However, he has received immediate treatment. It is doubtful that he will be able to play on Sunday.
MEHMET TOPUZ: Daum recently played Topuz during a practice game to determine his physical status. He has recovered from his injury, however he will not be in the starting line-up against Antalyaspor, but there is a chance he may be on the substitute list.
ÖZER HURMACI: Still suffering from pain in his shoulder, he is unable to move comfortably. Specialists in Germany suggested he not play until his pain has subsided, therefore he will not be in tomorrow’s line-up.
