A dark February

Having started off 2010 as league leaders, Fenerbahçe appears to be in the midst of a series of nightmares. After yesterday’s 2-1 loss against Istanbul Belediyespor, Fenerbahçe has officially failed to win a single league game during the month of February.

Fenerbahçe appeared to be playing just like any old team yesterday in the first 45 minutes played in the Olympic Stadium. In fact, it wasn’t until the 29^th minute when they staged their first organized attack with Deniz, however just a minute later, they suffered their first goal. In the 57^th minute of the game, Alex, with help by Gökhan Gönül, scored an equalizer. The fate of the game was determined by Iskender, who scored a second goal not only for himself but also to secure the win for Istanbul Belediyespor, in the 83^rd minute of the game. 

After starting off the season with an eight game winning streak, Fenerbahçe has now been unable to secure a victory for seven games in a row.
