Tonight at 23:00, Turkey will face off against Euro 2008 champions Spain for the 2010 World Cup eliminations. Coach Terim announced a daring starting line-up, which will have Semih and Nihat playing as duo forwards.

The Turkish National Team will play a historic match in Bernabeu stadium tonight, after having missed out on the opportunity to play against Spain in the EURO 2008 finals. Our star and crescent sporting team aims to write another golden page in history by beating Spain in tonight’s game, which will kick-off at 23:00 Turkish time. The game will be refereed by Switzerland’s Massimo Busacca. After having won the world’s hearts in the European Championship, our National Team will be setting out to play yet another historical match. The day has finally come, which football lovers have been long anticipating after the unfortunate loss against Germany this summer resulted in the Turkish National Team missing out on the opportunity to play against Spain. Our national players will be facing off against Spain tonight for the 2010 World Cup European Eliminations. The game will begin at 23:00 Turkis standard time and will be played in Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Massimo Busacca, from Switzerland will be assisted by fellow natives Matthias Arnet and Francesco Buragina. The game will be broadcasted live on NTV. With Turkey’s historical success in this summer’s European Championship, and having lost by a thread the opportunity to play against Spain in the finals, this game holds much importance for our national team. Spain has not lost any games played in their home stadium for World Cup eliminations since March 11, 1934. The National Team has played against Spain’s National Team eight times in the past. While Turkey has only won a single game, Spain finished ahead in three, while four games ended in a draw.
