‘This award encourages us in our peace-efforts’

Prime Minister Erdoğan was presented with the King Faisal International Prize during a ceremony held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. During the award ceremony, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed that Turkey is exerting sincere effort in order to establish peace and stability in the region on a global level.

During an address made at the ceremony for the award granted by the King Faisal Foundation, Erdoğan stated the following: “As Turkey, we are engaged in sincere efforts in order to establish peace, harmony, stability and security in our region especially on a global level. We are putting forth intensive efforts collaboratively in order to establish a more sustainable world through the advancing dialogue process we have embarked upon with our neighbors. To see we are not alone in this struggle increases my assurance.” 

Erdoğan went on to state; “Being awarded the International King Faisal Prize provides an extremely significant contribution to supporting, encouraging and strengthening our efforts. I want to thank the King Faisal Foundation once again for their perception of my worthiness of this award. I want to especially thank King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz for his contribution to peace-establishing efforts as well as the entire family on the same accord. I want to express that for as long as I continue to breath I will always carry this honor with me in great dignity.”
