SABAH receives the Çetin Emeç award

SABAH newspaper’s Special Intelligence Director Abdurrahman Şımşek has been awarded Turkey’s Newspaper Association’s Çetin Emeç award.

SABAH’s Abdurrahman Şımşek is the first recipient ever of Turkey’s Newspaper Association’s Çetin Emeç award, named after the journalist on the 20th anniversary of his murder. Abdurrahman Şımşek, SABAH newspaper’s Special Intelligence Department Director received the award for his success in unveiling security flaws in the Sabiha Gökçen Airport. Şımşek will receive the award on Sunday, March 7th at a joint event held by the Turkish Newspapers Association and the Galatasaray Education Foundation.
