A fifty million dollar hit

It turns out a betting rigging organization, recently brought down in Turkey, was acquiring 50 million dollars in profit a year.

Amongst the 75 arrests made recently in connection to game rigging, are the 2nd league team Mardinspor’s Technical Director and a player from Tepecikspor. Records were found of a telephone conversation between a member of the betting rigging who told a goalkeeper; “Just allow three goals to be scored and don’t think about the rest.” 

Also amongst the 75 detained are eight players from the Bank Asya, League, TFF 2nd and 3rd league. In addition, Gaziantepspor players Soner Örnek, Muhammet Şentürk, Mehmet Karakeçili and Mehmet Coşkun and pilot team Gaziantep BŞB players Serkan İşyapan, Hayrettin Çınar and Gökhan Ünver are also being held for questioning.
