Sabah has obtained the report prepared by the representative for Saturday’s cancelled Diyarbakır-Bursa game.

Saturday’s match between Diyarbakırspor and Bursaspor was cut short due to a series of discrepancies, including stone-throwing, in which a referee was hit, ultimately leading to the game’s cancellation.

Turkish Football Federation representatives have prepared and submitted a report on the eventful game in which they noted that the stones thrown had been previously brought into the stadium, and stated; “Had the game not been cancelled, the events would have escalated.”

“When we arrived to the stadium at 10:00, it was obvious from the streets and stadium’s surroundings that this game was going to be a rough one. When we spoke to the Chief of Security we were told that the necessary precautions had been taken and 2,500 police were on duty. As the kick-off time began to approach, incidents in the stands began to ignite. Had the game not been cancelled and the players not been secretly rushed out of the stadium, the incidents could have increased significantly.”
