SpurlTurkey loses a great master of modern art
Ömer Uluç, one of the most important art figures in Turkey and known as being one of the pioneers of Turkish Modern Art, has passed away at the age of 79.
Married to writer Vivet Kanetti, Ömer Uluç lost his struggle with lung cancer yesterday and passed away at the Istanbul Cerrahi Hospital. His funeral will be held at the Aşiyan Cemetery following a prayer service which will be held at the Bebek Mosque.
