No stopping, jazz ahead

While the Istanbul summer passes with wave after wave of musical festivals, it appears the wind of music will not be stopping for the month of Ramadan. From August 14th to the 31st, with support form the Istanbul European Capital of Culture 2010 Agency, Istanbul will play host to the ‘Ramazanda Caz’ (Jazz During Ramadan) festival.

The series of concerts will take place in the first courtyard of the Topkapı Palace as well as in the garden of the Archaeology Museum and will include performers Ahmad Jamal, Anouar Brahem, Kudsi Erguner, Abdullah Ibrahim, Dhafer Youssef, İlhan Erşahin, Aydın Esen and Münip Utandı, who will perform selections from Dede Efendi.
