Turkuvaz signs agreement with Korean media giant
Turkuvaz Media Group has signed a news exchange agreement with South Korea’s largest media establishment, Maeil Business Media Group.
The new cooperation agreement was signed during the Turkish-South Korea Business Forum, held by Turkey's Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association, in conjunction with the Korean Industrialists Federation, Korean Maeil Business Media Group and the Korean Republic Ankara Embassy in order to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Korean War.
A prominent presence of the media industry, Turkuvaz Media Group, which operates two television stations, four newspapers and 26 magazines and retains 20% of Turkey’s television and newspaper advertising market, has signed a news exchange agreement with Maeil Business, South Korea’s largest media group.
During an address given at the signing ceremony held for the agreement, Turkuvaz Media Chairman of the Board of Directors Ahmet Çalık stated that the comradeship and cultural and commercial development, which began 60 years ago, continues increasingly today. Çalık went on to state; “I believe that this agreement will contribute to igniting further development between the two nations in cultural, social and commercial relations. This agreement is also significant in terms of both cultures becoming more familiar with one another. There are also many areas commercially in which the two nations can collaborate. With this agreement, which will further strengthen the commercial and comradeship bridge between the two nations in this communication era, we will be further informed of issues involving the two nations, and will be able to closely track developments. I want to thank all of those involved in this collaboration, especially Maeil Business owner Maekyung Media Group Chairman Mr. Dae-Whan Chang.”
