Turkey’s industry giants

Istanbul’s Chamber of Industry (İSO) report; "The 500 Largest Industrial Establishments in Turkey for 2009,” lists TÜPRAŞ as maintaining the top spot of the industry sector with manufacturing sales reaching 15,495,595,133 TL.

TÜPRAŞ's Electricity Production Co follows in second with 6,527,017,392 TL with OYAK RENAULT in third with 3,800,040 TL in production sales.

The top three establishments in terms of profit earned is Elektrik Üretim A.Ş (Elektrik Manufacturing Co.) in first place with 1,423,426,131 TL, TÜPRAŞ in second with 776,931,357 TL and Philip Morris follows third place with 673,939,460 TL.

OYAK RENAULT tops the charts in exports with 3,012,429,000 USD followed by FORD Otomotiv 2,038,704,000 USD and TOFAŞ in third at 2,004,257,000 USD.
